Above Lake Garda at San Vigilio by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

Above Lake Garda at San Vigilio shows a stretch of water meeting a shore under an open sky. Broad brush strokes lay down blue and green tones. Light rests on the surface, and the land rises on one side. John Singer Sargent painted this scene with loose marks and a quiet range of colour.

This print arrives as a fine art piece with a metal hanger fixed to the back. It goes straight onto a nail or screw, so the image sits on the wall without a separate frame to buy.

On a stairwell wall near a window the water shape reads first, and the edge of the land shows up a step closer. The blue tones stay soft where the morning light falls.
