Academy

The sheet carries loose pencil lines and dark washes that drift over the surface. Academy by Cy Twombly leaves the marks open so the eye moves across the page without a fixed route. The drawing uses his usual mix of writing and gesture.

The paper sits flat with a metal hanger fitted to the back. You set the print onto a nail or screw and it stays upright. No separate frame is needed for this fine art print.

It works above the desk in a study where the light comes from the side. You notice the small pencil lines first, then the wider washes. The surface stays quiet when the room is still.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
