Ahatfenster 2009 shows a square window shape made from small dots and thin lines. The marks sit on a pale ground, with some spots darker than others. Sigmar Polke uses a scatter of pigment that leaves gaps between the dots.

This fine art print keeps the dot pattern clear on a matte sheet, so the light passes over the pale areas without a shine. The frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.
