About this work
Alphabet VR - 1960 shows a set of letter forms built from bright blocks of colour. Each shape sits on a flat field and reads like a sign rather than a full word.
The work runs through optical colour shifts and clean geometry, the kind of method Victor Vasarely used across his op art practice. The print carries those colours on a matte fine art paper, so the flat tones stay even and the corners do not glare.
A light frame on a dark wall keeps the letter shapes clear at shoulder height. It sits on a hallway wall near the coat hooks, where you pass it every day and notice the sharp edges of each letter block.
