Amaryllis

Amaryllis shows a single flower stem rising from a dark ground, painted in Piet Mondrian work before his grid paintings. The form is built with straight lines and blocks of muted red and green against a grey field.

The picture stays close to the plant, with the stem carrying the eye upward. A metal hanger is fitted to the back of this fine art print, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw.
