Anemonies — Fine Art

Soft pink and white petals spread across the paper with a few green leaves near the bottom. Anemonies uses loose colour patches that sit close together. The paint looks thin and open, with pale background showing through the flowers. Pierre-Auguste Renoir worked in this loose way, laying down colour in quick separate touches rather than filling every shape.
