Bench in a Wood — Fine Art

A wooden bench sits among trees in Bench in a Wood. The scene is quiet and the branches form a simple frame around the seat. Vincent van Gogh often painted outdoor places with broken colour and visible brushwork, and this picture follows that way of working.

This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The paper is matte, so the greens and browns stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp. When the ready to hang option is used, it arrives assembled.

It works on a bedroom wall near the foot of the bed. From the bedside you see the dark tree trunks and the pale seat, and the frame keeps the picture steady on the wall.
