Bend in Forest Road — Fine Art

A path curves through a wood in Bend in Forest Road. Trees line both sides, and the ground rises and falls in planes of green and brown. The shapes feel built up, one beside the next, as Paul Cézanne built forms across his landscapes.

The fine art print sits on a wall in a steady light, and the frame finish follows the room. A light frame looks right against a dark wall, and a wood frame sits beside wooden furniture. The matte surface keeps the greens and browns from shining back at you.

It hangs in a hallway between two doors, where you pass it every morning. From that narrow space you notice the slow turn of the road and the stacked shapes of the trees as you walk by.
