Big Red

Big Red by Sam Francis uses a strong red field set against a plain background. Broad colour washes move in from the edges and the centre stays open. The marks feel loose and the paint sits in layers on the surface.

This fine art print uses a light frame that can match a pale wall or a darker one. The matte surface keeps the red tones even under indoor light and the paper does not shine.

It reads well on a bedroom wall above the bed. From the doorway you see the red shape first, and from the bedside you notice the wet edges and the thin gaps between the colour fields.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
