Blau-violettes horizontal-vertikal-quadrat

The sheet called Blau-violettes horizontal-vertikal-quadrat - 1968 holds two bands of blue and violet. The lines run across and down through the field.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. Max Bill built his work from clear shapes and steady colour. The paper is matte, so the blue and violet stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp.

A dark frame on a pale wall lets the bands stand apart. It hangs on the stairwell wall, where the light hits the colour from above and the shapes stay simple from the landing.
