Blossom Out

Blossom Out - 1986 by Wu Guanzhong shows thin dark lines and pale watercolour washes that suggest blossoms on a branch. The marks stay loose and do not fill the sheet.

From across the room the lines read as a few quiet strokes. Closer up you see the paper grain and the uneven edge of each wash.

This fine art print comes set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the soft washes from shining under a lamp. It fits in a narrow hallway above a slim shelf where the low light lets the pale tones stay visible.
