About this work
A bold blue line runs along the corner where two walls meet in Blue Day-glo Corner Piece - 1968. The work belongs to minimal art and uses a single intense colour against the room itself. Fred Sandback built his sculptures from yarn stretched between points, so the colour reads like a drawn edge in space.
This fine art print keeps that edge sharp on matte paper, so the blue sits flat without shine under indoor light. A light frame keeps the colour clear on a dark wall, while a dark frame works on a pale wall.
It fits a hallway wall at shoulder height, where you pass it each day. The blue line cuts across the corner and the matte surface stays soft even in a narrow passage.
