Blue Nocturne — Fine Art

Blue Nocturne by Eyvind Earle shows a night scene built from flat blue shapes and clean edges. The picture splits into dark and pale tones that read as sky and ground. Up close the colour areas meet in hard lines. From across the room the blue field holds together as one quiet mass.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the blue tones soft under a lamp and the frame adds a firm border around the sheet. The assembly stays flat when the ready to hang option is used.

It reads well above a desk near a window with low afternoon light. From that spot the pale blue band catches the glow and the dark lower field stays still. You notice the clean meeting of the two tones first.
