Blue Swirl

Blue Swirl by Sam Gilliam shows a soft blue band that turns and rises across the sheet. The colour shifts from a deeper blue to a lighter blue as the band curves.

The painted edge stays loose, with small breaks in the line. A fine art print set in a frame with a back panel keeps the blue tone flat and even.

The matte surface lets the soft blue stay quiet in a bright room. It sits on a dining room wall above a sideboard, where the blue curve reads against the wood and the room feels calmer.
