Blue Vase With Flowers — Fine Art

Blue Vase With Flowers - 2002 shows a blue vessel holding flowers on a plain sheet. The marks are loose and the petals read as quick strokes. Aldemir Martins often painted common objects with this kind of direct handling. The image keeps the shapes simple and the colours close together.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The white frame gives the picture a clear border on the wall. A white edge sets the blue tones apart without pulling attention away from the flowers. The frame edge sits even against the sheet and the drawing holds its shape inside it.

It fits on a dining room wall above a sideboard. From the table you see the blue vase first, then the small flower strokes above it. The white frame keeps the picture plain against the painted wall.
