Bouquet — Fine Art

The picture for Bouquet shows a loose arrangement of colour on an open field. Sam Francis often lets washes spread and meet across the sheet. You see soft edges and a few darker patches where the paint settles. The eye moves between the bright spots and the quiet spaces around them.

This fine art print sits on a matte sheet, so the pale tones stay even and there is no shine under a lamp. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. That lets the print blend with what is already there.

It works on a stairwell wall where the light changes through the day. From the lower step you notice the broad colour patches first, and from the top you catch the small differences between them.
