Bouquet for Mary Lea — Fine Art

Bouquet for Mary Lea - 1957 shows a gathered arrangement of flowers held upright against a plain field. A few petals and stems read as careful pencil lines and thin washes of green and pink. The picture sits inside the modernist painting practice of mid century American art.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. The matte surface keeps the narrow petals and thin stems from catching a bright glare under a lamp.

It works on the wall beside a kitchen sink, where the morning light hits the paper at an angle and the small leaf marks come into view.
