Bouquet of Flowers 1 — Fine Art

Bouquet of Flowers 1 by Odilon Redon fills the sheet with pale blooms held together by soft lines. Light colours gather at the centre and fade toward the edges. You see the petals best when you stand back. Step closer and the crayon strokes show their texture.

The frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. This fine art print works on a hall landing where daylight reaches it in the morning.

On the landing wall, the soft blooms read as a calm strip between the stairs and the front door. From the kitchen doorway you notice the pale petals first, then the darker stem lines.
