Brooch 1938 — Fine Art

Brooch 1938 by Alexander Calder shows a flat painted shape that holds a single weight near the center. The outline is clear and the rest of the ground stays open. You can follow the edge without losing it.

The fine art print uses a matte surface, so the colour does not catch a lamp and the painted form stays readable from the hall.

Hang it on a dark wall above a desk, where the painted shape meets the wood edge of the desk and the space beside it stays open.
