Caju e Bananas - Naïve Art Primitivism, the title says what you see. Aldemir Martins paints cashew fruit and bananas with bright local colour. The shapes sit close together on the sheet, each one outlined in a darker tone. He keeps the forms simple, as if seen from a short distance.

The paper is matte so the reds and yellows stay flat under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the fruit shapes separate from the background. You can hang the fine art print at a height where the top fruit sits just above your shoulder.

It works on a kitchen wall, near the table where you cut fruit. You notice the dark outlines on the cashew first, then the yellow of the bananas beside it. Nothing else competes for your eye there.
