Castle CCCXXXIII 15.7.01 — Fine Art

Castle CCCXXXIII 15.7.01 - 2001 shows a thin shape against a steady ground. Bob Law painted it with soft bands and quiet marks. The lines step across the sheet with little changes in tone.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. From across the room you read the long band first. Up close the surface shows the pencil lines and the edges of paint. The work sits on a pale wall where the light is even.

A dark frame on the same wall keeps the shape clear. It fits a hallway wall above a narrow table. From the door you notice the slow shift in tone before you see the marks.
