Cedar

The eye moves through a layered space of lines and soft colour patches in Cedar - 1932. Maria Helena Vieira da Silva builds the scene with crossing marks that suggest depth without showing a clear object. Open areas stay quiet beside the busy passages.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper holds the grey and blue tones without shine, so the painted lines read as they should. The ready to hang option brings it assembled to your door.

On a study room wall the layered lines fill the view from a chair. You notice the small pencil marks first, then the wider colour patches beyond them.
