Celia Thaxters Garden, Isles of Shoals, Maine

Celia Thaxters Garden, Isles of Shoals, Maine places a garden path through greenery and flowering plants. The marks move in loose brush strokes across the sheet. Childe Hassam worked in the American Impressionist style and painted outdoor scenes with broken colour. The image reads as a calm summer place.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger on the back that fits a nail or screw. The matte surface keeps the greens and pinks steady under room light. You do not need a frame.

Above a low bookshelf the picture sits near a desk lamp. From that angle you see the green leaves first, then the flower shapes when you step closer.
