About this work
A drawn circle crosses the edges of a polygon shape, moving in and out of the straight sides. The image comes from Circle in and Out of a Polygon 2 1973, a work by Robert Mangold. The drawing uses measured pencil lines on a plain ground. The soft marks stay close to the edge of the shape.
The picture is made as a fine art print with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the drawing a clean border on the wall. The plain frame edge keeps the eye on the thin pencil work without adding colour.
It fits on a bedroom wall above a simple bed. From the doorway you see the round form meet the straight sides, and from the chair you notice the light pencil strokes near the border.
