Coat Hanger and Spoon From Fragment According to What 1971

A coat hanger and a spoon sit in the frame of this print. The object shapes cross over a plain background. The eye finds the metal forms first and rests on the empty space around them.

Jasper Johns often uses ordinary objects in his work. The fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. It arrives assembled when ready to hang is chosen.

The matte surface keeps the grey tones soft without shine. You can place it on a kitchen wall near the sink. From the doorway the metal shapes sit clear against the wall.

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
