Composite — Fine Art

Composite - Color Field Painting uses broad painted bands of colour laid across the sheet. Piero Dorazio built his practice on intense colour and a soft, almost vibrating surface. The picture reads as a stack of light and dark colour, not as a scene.

This fine art print keeps the colour bands clear. It hangs on a wall where the light hits the surface evenly, so each band keeps its own tone without glare.

It works beside a wooden bookshelf in a study room. From the desk you notice the edges where one colour meets the next. The print sits at shoulder height on that wall.
