About this work

Composition 13

Thin lines cross the sheet in a steady rhythm. Sonia Delaunay named the work Composition 13, and the title points to a measured layout of forms. The eye moves from left to right along the drawn paths. Empty space holds the marks in place.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a separate frame. The matte paper keeps the drawn lines clear and stops glare under a lamp.

In a study, the hanging sits above a desk. From the doorway you see the crossing lines and the open field. You notice the even spacing of the marks when you stand near the desk.
