Composition 27

Composition 27 by Sonia Delaunay breaks into bright planes of red, blue, yellow and white. The marks move in curves that cross each other, drawn in a rhythmic style of early abstract work. Sonia Delaunay built the picture from strong shapes rather than a scene.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The printed surface keeps the colours flat and solid so the curved forms stay clear.

It suits a dining room wall with a bright window. From the table you see the crossing curves and the strong colour groups, while the room stays clear.
