Corfu by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

The Corfu print follows John Singer Sargent toward the outdoor watercolour studies he made in the Mediterranean. Bright water and stone walls sit under strong sun, with quick strokes laying down blue, green and pale stone tones.

This fine art print uses a matte paper that holds the pale washes without shine. The frame finish you choose gives the picture a clear edge on the wall, and a white or wood frame lets the bright water tones stay open.

Hang it in a reading corner by a side window. From the chair you see the blue and green strokes first, and the pale stone areas stay calm under the daylight.
