Covenant — Fine Art

The title Covenant points to a single broad colour field with a sharp vertical stripe through the middle. Barnett Newman worked in this way, dividing a flat ground with a thin hard line. You see a clear shape built from two plain planes.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The white frame gives the edge a clean border. That finish holds the field without adding a new colour, so the stripe reads plainly against the white surround.

On a dining room wall, the vertical line breaks a solid field during a meal. The white edge keeps the picture from fading into the paint behind it.
