Crown of Roses

Crown of Roses sets a gathered circle of rose heads against a muted ground. The petals press close at the center and open out around the edges. Pierre-Auguste Renoir painted the blooms with short separate strokes rather than a smooth wash. The composition leaves the lower half quiet.

This fine art print arrives with a metal hanger fixed to the back. You can hang it on a nail or screw without any frame to buy. The matte paper keeps the reds and greens from reflecting a lamp.
