Cut Outs — Fine Art

Cut Outs by Henri Matisse shows painted paper forms cut into simple shapes and set on a plain ground. The pieces stack or sit side by side, building a flat picture from solid colour.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame finish can match the room, so a light frame reads on a dark wall and a dark frame sits on a pale wall. A wood frame works beside wooden furniture.

It hangs above a low shelf where the plain ground gives the eye a rest. From the chair you see the cut edges and the solid colour blocks.
