Diminishing Circles

Diminishing Circles - 2001 shows a series of painted rings set inside one another. Each ring steps down in tone from the first outline. The circles keep a steady line and the colour fades across the sheet. Jennifer Bartlett worked in this painted metal panel style.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang with a metal hanger fitted to the back. It goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need a frame. The matte paper holds the thin rings without shine.

On a stairwell landing the circles line up along the wall beside the steps. From the bottom flight you read the outer ring first. You notice the smaller rings higher up. The view changes as you walk past.
