About this work
Düsseldorf
A cityscape unfolds in monochrome. Düsseldorf - Dieter Roth captures the urban landscape with a raw, unfiltered gaze. The artwork's title names the subject directly, grounding the abstract forms in a specific place and time.
The composition is a patchwork of textures and tones. Buildings emerge from dense layers of ink and smudged lines, their details softened by the passage of time or perhaps the artist's hand. The contrast between light and dark creates a sense of depth, drawing the eye into the scene.
This poster suits a study or library, where its intellectual character can be appreciated. It invites quiet contemplation amid the chaos of daily life.
