Expansion in Four Directions

Expansion in Four Directions - 1962 by Max Bill shows four blocks of colour radiating from the centre. The shapes meet at equal angles around a square field.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Bill worked in concrete art, building composition from geometry rather than gesture. The image stays calm inside the printed sheet.

The paper has a matte surface, so the colours read flat without a sheen. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, and the print goes up on a nail without extra fitting. You can place it on a bedroom wall near a bookshelf, where the four directions sit above the shelf line.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
