About this work
False prospettive - 1973 by Dadamaino turns flat shapes into a shallow space that seems to slip away. The eye catches a repeated form that bends from one side to the other. Empty areas sit between the shapes, so the picture keeps a quiet balance.
The fine art frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. A black frame edge sits hard against the soft shapes, so the picture reads as one clear block on the wall. The matte paper holds the greys without shine.
On a narrow hallway wall the repeated shapes lead past the turn. From the landing you see the clear edge of the frame, and the empty space reads as a pause between one shape and the next.
