Figure Eight - 1967 by Adolph Gottlieb shows a repeated loop shape on a plain ground. The artist worked with broad painted bands and strong edges. One shape sits near the centre and another trails off to the side.

The fine art print uses matte paper so the painted areas stay even and there is no shine under a lamp. A light frame can be paired with a dark wall, or a dark frame with a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.
