Fläche im Raum von einer Linie begrenzt — Fine Art

Fläche im Raum von einer Linie begrenzt - 1952 sets a flat colour field against a bold line. The line holds the shape and leaves most of the sheet open. You look at one edge first, then the rest quiets down.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. Max Bill worked in concrete art, which favours clear forms over soft paint. The frame comes in white, wood, dark wood or black. Each finish gives the image a clean border, so the line does not fade into the wall.

A white frame keeps the contrast even. A black frame places the weight on one side. You see the piece from the hallway table, one step away. The line stops the eye before it reaches the corner.
