Flags I Ulae 128 — Fine Art

Flags I Ulae 128 shows a flag image built from thin paint layers on a flat ground. The artist worked with encaustic and paint to lay down repeated marks, a practice tied to pop art.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The white frame gives the picture a hard edge on the wall. The white finish sits close to the pale field and makes the edge clear without pulling attention from the surface.

Hang it on a hallway wall where the light hits the paper at a slant. From the far end of the hall you read the flag shapes first, then the small paint layers as you walk closer.
