Fog In The Hollow — Fine Art

Fog In The Hollow sits inside the colour field painting tradition, where broad washes of pigment cover the surface. Sam Gilliam is known for draped canvas practice, and the work carries that open, flowing feel. The title points to a hush of air over a low place.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The print comes ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. That plain setup keeps the focus on the colour field painting marks without a border interrupting them.

On a bedroom wall, the broad tone settles the room when you stand at the foot of the bed. From the doorway the colour band reads as one quiet shape, and the room feels settled for the night.
