For Sale

The words For Sale - 1962 sit on a plain sheet in a simple lettering style. Billy Apple uses text as the image, so the letters carry the picture. The shapes read clearly from the room and stay plain up close.

This fine art print keeps the black lettering flat on the paper. A light frame on a dark wall lets the text stay the main thing. The matte surface stops a shine under a lamp.

It hangs on the stairwell wall near the landing light. From the bottom step the words read first, and the plain field holds them without noise.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
