Fountain in Avignon 1913

A fountain stands in the middle of a quiet square in Avignon in 1913. Raoul Dufy paints the water and the stone in soft blue and green tones, with the buildings around it in loose pale shapes. The water moves with short curved strokes, and the light stays gentle over the square.
