About this work
Fruit vase and bunch of grapes - 1914 shows a glass vessel filled with fruit sitting on a table. The grapes gather in a tight bunch while the vase holds its curve. Pablo Picasso painted the objects with short lines and small colour patches that sit near each other.
This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The frame holds the paper flat and the back panel covers the rear so the print stays in place. You see the colours and the lines without a glossy shine on top.
It fits on a kitchen wall where the morning light passes over the fruit shapes. From the doorway you notice the bunch of grapes first, then the line of the vase goes sideways. The marks stay readable without moving closer.
