About this work
Gaberndorf II 1924 shows a small village seen through tall tree lines and angled roofs.
The forms break into sharp blocks and quick strokes. Lyonel Feininger builds the scene with thin lines that meet in sharp corners.
The paper carries the fine art print with a metal hanger on the back that slides onto a nail or screw without a separate frame. You notice the cuts in the roofs first near a kitchen doorway, then the thin lines in the trees as you pass by.
