Galaxy

A wide field of dark blue fills the sheet in Galaxy, with a lighter blue band running down the middle. The eye moves straight to that band, then rests on the open space on either side. Barnett Newman worked with broad colour fields and simple vertical lines, and this print follows that practice.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The paper arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy.

You notice the difference between the two blues from across a plain wall. Put it above a long desk, about eye level, where the light falls straight on. From there the central band reads clearly and the open field stays calm.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes — this Fine Art piece comes framed and arrives ready to hang. It is printed with our 12-color fine art technology on smooth matte paper (200 gsm), protected by shatterproof plexiglass, and set in a durable pine wood frame. A hanging kit is included, so you can put it straight on the wall.

Our 12-color fine art printing technology delivers vivid, accurate colors with real depth, far beyond standard 4-color inkjet printing. The print is on smooth matte paper (200 gsm, 0.26 mm thick) that gives a clean, glare-free display, and it sits behind shatterproof plexiglass in a durable pine wood frame (20 mm thick, 10 to 14 mm wide). The paper and wood are FSC-certified. Every piece is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and every order is fresh.
