Genesis 1982 by Zao Wou-Ki — Fine Art

Genesis 1982 opens on a wide field of blue and grey that sits against a darker ground. The tone shifts slowly from one area to the next, so the whole surface feels held together. A few pale passages stay bright against the deeper tones near the edges.

The fine art print uses paper with a matte finish, so the blue tones stay flat and do not shine under a lamp. A light frame works on a dark wall, while a wood frame sits well beside wooden furniture.

It fits a study wall above a desk. From the door you see the broad blue tone first, and the small shifts in grey become clear as you walk closer.
