Ghost Ranch Painting by Georgia OKeeffe — Fine Art

Ghost Ranch Painting shows wide bands of earth tone colour laid over a flat ground. The pigments meet one another without hard borders. Georgia OKeeffe painted this view in the American modern tradition, using broad planes of ochre and red against pale sky. The surface looks calm and open.

This fine art print comes set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the warm earth tones even under indoor light, so the pale sky does not glare. You see the painted bands clearly from across the hall.

On a kitchen wall, the wide colour bands read as a flat horizon. You notice the soft band edges before the individual marks, and the room feels settled morning and evening.
