About this work
Glass Facade 1940 sets small glass-like planes against a muted ground. Thin lines cross the page and a few sharp edges sit near the centre. The marks read like a study of light on glass. Paul Klee built his Bauhaus practice from simple signs and careful colour spots. The picture stays quiet and clear.
This is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte surface softens the black lines and lets the light tones stay flat. The back panel keeps the print straight on the wall.
Hang it on a bedroom wall near a low lamp. From the bed you see the sharp edges first and the small colour spots later. The thin lines catch the light when you sit by the window in the morning.
