Granada. Sunspots by John Singer Sargent — Fine Art

Granada. Sunspots shows the bright ground of a southern place under a strong sun. The artist worked quickly, leaving thin strokes where the light hits hardest. Some marks sit heavier on the page, some break apart.

This fine art piece comes with a frame in white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame gives the image a clean edge on the wall and keeps the painted area set apart from the room around it.

Hang it in a hallway where the light moves during the day. You notice the sunlit patches first, then the thinner marks as you pass.
