Groundhog Day 4 — Fine Art

Groundhog Day 4 by Andrew Wyeth uses thin dry brush strokes to build a small animal figure against a quiet field. The marks sit close together and leave pale paper showing through the paint. You can see the pressure of the brush where the strokes slow down.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The picture keeps the ordinary feel of a working farm scene. The paper is matte so the pale tones stay soft and there is no shine under a lamp.

No separate frame is needed. It works on a narrow stair landing wall above a turn in the steps. From the bottom of the stairs you see the small dark shape first and the pale ground around it.
